Project Description:
The largest investment bank in Australia, the Macquarie Group had surprisingly adventurous ambitions for the workspace fitout of their new headquarters building. Lamenting the conservative nature of most banking workspaces, Macquarie challenged the design team to create a vibrant workplace that would enhance collaboration, creativity, and community. Variously sized meeting and board rooms are distributed around the central atrium in the form of radically cantilevering pods. Large expanses of glass, minimal partitions, and airy workspaces maximize connectivity amongst workers. In lieu of assigned workstations, a variety of workspace types, developed specifically for this project according to activity, allow workers to decide for themselves how they wish to work.
