Project Description:
This pavilion design presented some unique challenges from our client: showcase two different glass door manufacturers in one installation, using the largest feasible glazing, all while maximizing offsite prefabrication and re-use. Our solution was to divide the pavilion into two parts. At one side, Vitrocsa’s slim-profile sliding doors are impressively showcased with 18’ high x 7’ wide panels. The other half of the pavilion features a large Hirt retractable window that can be accessed up-close as it descends into a shipping container, a unique modular solution that can be moved and re-used with a minimum of disassembly. The pavilion will thus serve as Vitrocsa + Hirt’s signature display at upcoming conventions for a number of years.
