Three years ago, Ed Ogosta was invited to be on the Planning Committee for the 2022 AIA Committee on Design (COD) conference, which, after a huge planning effort, begins today in Los Angeles. The four-day conference brings together 100 design-focused architecture firm leaders from around the USA for a series of building tours, discussions, and events centered around Los Angeles’ innovative residential architecture. Twenty-five building tours are scheduled, which includes LA classics like the Schindler House and Neutra VDL House, as well as new housing projects by Brooks+Scarpa, Thom Mayne, and Lorcan O’Herlihy. Ed and the fantastic LA planning team (pictured below at Frank Gehry’s residence in Santa Monica) met throughout the pandemic to plan all details of the conference, so it’s exciting to see all it come together at last!
